英诗中隐喻翻译的认知分析

摘要

近来，隐喻研究炙手可热它已经不仅仅作为一种修辞方法而存在，更成为语言学、社会学、心理学等许多学科的研究对象。语言学方面，对隐喻的研究取得了丰硕的成果，国内外已有著名专家学者从功能、认知等角度对其详述。在翻译理论领域，也有不少学者涉足隐喻，试图用这把钥匙打开语言之门。但是很少有著作详细说明某一种文体中隐喻的具体翻译方法，这未尝不是一种缺憾。 本文正抓住这个缺憾，从英语诗歌中的概念隐喻入手，将其分为三类，即结构隐喻，方位隐喻，本体隐喻。基于严复的翻译标准，即信、达、雅，作者提出了在翻译诗歌时要尽量保留原诗的审美因素。 根据隐喻中不可或缺的“意象”，探讨其翻译方法。按照诗歌隐喻的意象，将英诗中隐喻的翻译方法分成三类，即完全保留原文意象、部分保留原文意象和抛弃原文隐喻意象。每一类中还将涉及到具体的翻译技巧，如增补、删减、转换等。 概念隐喻通常隐含于语句的字面义之外，通过语境体现出来。因此，对原文语境的准确理解就成了概念隐喻翻译的基石。通过对英语诗歌中的概念隐喻及其译文的分析，得出结论该概念隐喻所处的语言结构层次、具体语境及意境是影响翻译的决定因素。
