南京哈威斯商贸公司商务合同英译项目报告

摘要

商务合同是相关各方在进行某种商务合作时，为了确定各自的权利和义务，而正式依法订立的、并且经过公证的、必须共同遵守的协议。因此商务合同是一种具有法律效应的应用文书，用词非常讲究，具有准确、严谨、正式且规范的特点。随着中国加入世贸组织，各行各业对外贸易业务发展十分迅速，中文商务合同的英译直接关系到中国对外贸易发展的进程。
　　笔者在南京哈威斯商贸有限公司实习期间英译了多份中文商务合同，该项目涉及到的合同种类有销售或购货合同、技术转让合同、合资或合营合同，具有较强的实践意义。基于此翻译实践，本项目报告以功能对等理论为指导，在第二章从词汇、句法、篇章三个层面分析翻译过程中的主要难点及产生难点的原因，如缺少相关领域的专业知识及缺少对英文商务合同用语的了解，第三章从词汇、句法、篇章三个层面提供了相应的解决方案，如使用古体词、采用被动句式、使用统一的形式等，希望所总结的翻译技巧与策略能为中文商务合同的英译实践及研究提供参考。
