Assessment of Integration of Urban Migrants Working in Cambodian Garment Factories

摘要

The significance of this paper associated and attempts study deeply on the Cambodiangarment workers' integration by using empirical methods of measurement and also to findout the living condition of Cambodian garment worker.
　　As the garment factory is the one important factor of developments of Cambodia's are many studies about workers with immigration.However, this research is going tostudy about the situation of garment factory workers.The study of standard of living isimportant because employees are the most potentialresource for the sustainability of thegarment industry.If the garment workers live improperly and walk out from the factory theindustry would face serious difficulty.
　　The determinants to be tested if they have relationships to the garment workers' standard ofliving are food, health, housing and utilities, education and transportation.In short, thisresearch is going to conclude with the differences in workers' integrtion by using these twoapproaches.The Interview is the primary tool for college data and data from thegovernment sector.This study is just the part of the migration process from rural area tourban area in Cambodia.To attain such objective structured interviews were conductedamong selected rural migration of a garment worker in Phnom Penh, document analysis and relevant documents was also used to depend on the analysis of the study.The study also conducts the main cause of rural migration in migrating to an urban area to support their family's need.Otherwise we focus on integration of workers migrate to an urban area.
