从德国功能派翻译理论看2011年《政府工作报告》英译策略

摘要

随着中外在各个领域的交流合作不断加深,世界各国了解中国的需求逐渐高涨,翻译在这个过程中起着决定性作用。2011年《政府工作报告》反映了最新、最权威和最准确的政府工作现状,并提出未来的目标规划,目前对其英译策略的分析极少,而且不够全面、具体。作为政论文,《政府工作报告》具有时效性,这就要求对其翻译策略进行及时准确的研究。本文以德国功能主义为理论指导,以2011年《政府工作报告》文本为例,采用英汉对比方法,旨在对其翻译策略进行全面准确具体的探究,继而为同一类型文本的翻译提供参考和指导。
　　本文总结了德国功能派翻译理论的主要观点,并指出该理论对2011年《政府工作报告》英译策略研究的指导作用。在分析《政府工作报告》语言特点和翻译原则的基础上,从词汇、句法、语篇和修辞层面探究了2011年《政府工作报告》的英译策略。通过例证分析,本文发现了多种翻译策略的可行性,如在词汇层面可以采用意译来处理中国特色词的翻译,句法层面可以通过添加主语或者转换语态翻译无主语句子,语篇层面可增添恰当的代词和连词等来达到语篇的连贯,修辞层面可采用直译来翻译排比结构句。这些翻译策略的运用,使得信息内容的传达保持了一致性,文化传递准确而保留特色,实现了翻译目的。
　　本研究认为:2011年《政府工作报告》英译是以目标读者为中心,以目标文化为取向的跨文化交际活动;德国功能派翻译理论适用于2011年《政府工作报告》英译策略研究,为其提供了必要的理论指导;2011年《政府工作报告》英译策略对今后政论文的翻译提供了参考,具有重要实践意义。
