外交委婉语的语用探究

摘要

本文试图以语用学的视角对外交委婉语进行探究，探寻其存在的合理性。我们认为，语用学作为对语言使用的研究，能够予以我们在外交语境之下委婉语的本质、动机、意义及运作机制。　　本论文介绍委婉语在外交活动中的运用，阐明其语用学研究的必要性，对外交委婉语进行概述，阐述其与外交语言的关系，使用原因，并定义外交委婉语，说明委婉语是一种间接言语行为，在其使用的背后隐藏着4个语用原因，研究委婉语违反合作原则获得隐性含义的运作机制，探究外交活动中委婉语使用的主要动机——礼貌。在礼貌原则理论框架的指导下，外交委婉语被视为实现礼貌功能的语用策略，以关联理论为依据，从认知及以听者为中心的视角研究外交委婉语。
