《了不起的盖茨比》中概念隐喻的认知机制研究

摘要

概念隐喻是指概念系统通过隐喻的方式生成并以隐喻的方式被人理解。一个概念隐喻包括两个概念域:始源域和目标域。概念隐喻的认知机制是跨域映射的过程。本文主要研究《了不起的盖茨比》中的概念隐喻认知机制以及小说中概念隐喻体系的构建过程。
　　本文收集了《了不起的盖茨比》中的396段存在隐喻现象的话语,并对其进行系统的数据分析。在396段存在隐喻现象的话语中,133个隐喻是根据其跨域映射特点的不同进行分析,263个隐喻是在意象图式理论下进行研究。本文主要采用了案例分析法以及定量和定性分析法。
　　以《了不起的盖茨比》中的概念隐喻分析为基础,本研究发现:第一,菲茨杰拉德借助象似性表达小说的主题,并且小说中的象似性通过语义的跨域投射方式获得了隐喻意义。第二,小说中大部分概念隐喻以上-下图式,容器图式和中心-边缘图式的方式,并以此对小说的语义表达产生作用。第三,《了不起的盖茨比》中充满隐喻语言。小说中隐喻系统的建立强化了它的历史和美学价值。
