构式语法视角下的英语轻动词构式研究

摘要

轻动词作为一种特殊的动词普遍存在于世界各语言中，但人们开始对轻动词进行全面而系统的理论研究，是在转换生成语法中最简方案理论提出之后。在许多研究中，轻动词都一直被视为一种词汇意义被虚化，只负责体现人称和时态而语义重心转移到后面的名词上。但随着认知科学和认知语言学的发展，构式语法对轻动词以及轻动词构式(以下简称/LVCs)有了不同的见解。
　　本文试图以现有对轻动词构式的分类方式为依据，以COCA(Corpus ofContemporary American English)作为语料来源，把典型轻动词构式作为研究对象，试图进一步说明轻动词构式作为一种特殊的构式也应具有其相应的构式义，而轻动词在轻动词构式中也必然有着使轻动词构式义得以存在的特殊意义，其构式义必然不等于构式中各部分语义简单相加的结果。
　　传统意义上的轻动词构式一直被视为是以轻动词后名词为中心的构式，其构式义侧重于构式中中心名词的词义。人们在研究轻动词时，一般把轻动词构式看作是一个轻动词+名词短语作补语的动词短语结构。本文从构式语法的角度出发，发现轻动词构式可能存在一种压制，是以构式中各部分以及词汇与构式间的互动为结果而产生的，这一压制使得轻动词构式中的中心名词（动转名词）的词义被削弱，并分散到轻动词上。
　　本文目的在于用构式语法中的构式压制理论对轻动词构式进行研究，揭示出轻动词构式中存在的压制现象，以及这种压制给轻动词构式带来的影响，努力为以后的轻动词研究开辟一个新的思路，以促进国内对英语轻动词构式的学习与研究。
