An Adjustment Model of Continuous Data Streams for Multimedia Network

摘要

This paper describes the framework of a new proposed mechanism for buffering management to support multimedia data streams on the network. The model of proposed mechanism employs stretch and fastening process to adaptively adjust continuous data streams for delay compensation. By this proposed mechanism, the size of buffer could be reduced and the playback quality of multimedia data could be smoothened while conserving human perception at the receiving end process.
