NaviView: Visual Assistance of Drivers by Using Roadside Cameras Visualization of Occluded Cars at an Intersection

摘要

NaviView is a novel concept to realize the visual assistance for drivers by using the videos obtained from the roadside monitor cameras. In the ITS, a lot of roadside cameras are going to be set up as the infrastructure of road system. The roadside cameras are intended to observe the road situation, such as the detection of accidents and obstacles on the road. We have proposed the concept of NaviView to utilize the video data for the visual assistance of the drivers on the highway. In this paper, we describe our new approach for applying the concept of NaviView at an intersection of town roads.
