Harp, like most stringed instruments, radiates sound energy because of string-soundbody coupling. In this work, vibrations of the soundbody (i.e soundboard + soundbox ensemble) are studied with two methods. An Experimental Modal Analysis (EMA) was performed to measure the dynamic behaviour of an isolated harp sound-body. Limitations such as troubles related to the measure and imprecisions during the numerical identification of experimental data exist. The Finite Element Method (FEM) was used to get eigen shapes and frequencies. A correlation between EMA results and FEM predictions is finally done. It consists in comparing eigen frequencies and modal deformations.
