To assess effects of drug resistance on HIV patho-genesis, in this paper we have developed a stochastic model of HTV pathogenesis in HTV-infected individuals under HAART treatment and under complex situations. By using this stochastic model, we have generated some Monte Carlo data to study the stochastic behavior of the HIV pathogenesis and the HTV progression under HAART and development of drug resistance. The results have revealed that the number of HIV progresses in three phases: In log scale, it declines linearly and sharply for the first few months; then it decreases linearly and slowly until 8-9 months after which it goes up linearly. Also, the HTV have never been cleared under development of drug resistance although the number of HTV in blood can be kept under 50/mm~3 for several years if the HTV in lymph nodes have been reduced by the drugs.
