WWW Supporting Tasks of A Medical Expert System

摘要

This paper describes the implementation of an educational (bilingual) expert system in the domain of hand wound diagnosis with an interface in terms of a HTML-browser in an Internet-like network. The system consists of a deterministic expert system, a bayesian expert system, respective knowledge bases and a database system. The deterministic knowledge base is essentially wired-in based on expert domain knowledge. On the other hand the bayesian knowledge base is automatically generated from the data collected in the database. The bayesian reasoning engine uses a bayesian-network based knowledge structure, and the deterministic reasoning is based on production rules.
