Making of Structural Elements (Stamping, Welding and Joining, Machining, Surface Strengthening Inclusive of Testing)

摘要

Types of semifinished products made of titanium and titanium alloys which are used in different industries in Russia for making equipment, structures and items are presented in this paper. Different methods of preparation to assembling equipment, structures and articles taking into account peculiarities of titanium as a structural material, types and kinds of joints are considered in the paper. Methods of applying multifunctional coatings on the surface which improve tribotechnical, strengthening, corrosion and, as a consequence, operational characteristics of items made of titanium as well as quality control methods are also considered.
