摘要

Microzonation is a crucial step in any post-earthquake reconstruction strategy in order to guaranteehomogeneous safety levels. It involves the collection of a huge amount of data from several disciplines:topography, geology, seismology, geophysics and geotechnique. These data are usually costly to collect,while their collection, harmonization and analysis require a length of time, which is, often, not compatiblewith the reconstruction process. Recently one more discipline has been involved in microzonation, namelystructural engineering. It uses the typological and damage data collected in the post-earthquake buildingdamage and usability assessment. Different methodologies have been successfully implemented in themicrozonation of several sites stricken by 1997 Umbria-Marche earthquake, 1998 Pollino earthquake and2002 Molise earthquake. In the paper the different approaches are summarized and discussed,highlighting their advantages and limits.
