The trace element status of the students of the Orenburg region

摘要

The investigation of hair elemental content in 19-24 y.o. students of Orenburg State University by ICP-AES and ICP-MS methods demonstrated the relatively low hair level of K, Se, P, Co and elevated Ca, Mg, Fe content. There were statistically significant differences found between the K, Na, P, Fe, Cr, As, Cd, Pb (higher) and Ca, Mg, Zn (lower) hair levels in males vs. females.
