Practical analysis of roll pass design

摘要

The principles of metal flow in rod rolling ore reviewed, with emphasis on the basis for spread in the transverse direction. Methodology of roll pass design and correction is set forth, including experimental procedures and approaches to characterizing existing processing. Applications to illustrative pass schedules and process troubleshooting contexts are presented.
