We have developed a Web-based online test systemrn“CollabTest” which can create quizzes collaboratively byrnstudents. We have experimented and evaluated it sincern2002. The total number of quizzes created by students isrnmore than 10,000. However, many of those quizzes havernnot been reused because the number of quizzes that arernused for the online test in one class is about 100 to 200.rnTherefore, we propose a method of calculating similarityrnbetween quizzes created by students in order to utilizernpast quizzes more effectively. If automatically retrieval ofrnsimilar quizzes based on similarity between quizzesrnbecome possible, it is possible to effectively providernonline tests and to support students to create quizzes byrnusing similar quizzes. In the proposed method, we try tornimprove the accuracy of calculating similarity betweenrnquizzes by identifying the content of quiz which containsrnindexing term. We analyse which content of quiz containsrnindexing terms, and from the result of analyses, wernconsidered how to automatically identify the content ofrnquiz containing indexing terms. Moreover, we examinernthe improvement of the accuracy of our proposed methodrnin comparison with an existing method and system.
