A Study on the Time-Dependent Character of Surrounding Rock Deformation of a Test Tunnel

摘要

Based on the assumption that the behavior of surrounding rock conforms to the rule of Kelvin-Voigtrnmodel, this paper presents a method to determine the parameters related to the time-dependentrnproperties of surrounding rock and predict the ground displacement by analyzing the measured datarnfrom a test tunnel of an underground hydro-power station cavern, which includes that the measured datarnis revised to consider the space effect of excavation face, that the total displacement value is treated byrnregression to get the expressions of displacement-time curves, that the formula to describe the relationrnbetween equivalent elastic modulus of surrounding rock and the displacement value at differentrnmoments is established, then the method to determine the parameters of Kelvin-Voigt model and predictrnthe displacement of surrounding rock of the test tunnel is put forward. The case study shows that thernpredicted displacement by the method is close to the measured value, so the method can be adopted inrnpractice.
