Timed-neutron detection (TND) can be used tornidentify low-metal mines with small false-positive andrnextremely small false-negative rates. TND is a variationrnon neutron scattering which can be used as a minedetectionrntechnique by detecting the contrast in hydrogenrnconcentration in the ground. The hydrogen concentrationrnof common mine components and soils are listed in TablernI.
