Abstract: A waveguide modulator for far-infrared light, based on the plasma resonance properties of a high density, thin electron sheet in semiconductors, is proposed. Parallel-coupled (uncoupled) waveguides can be uncoupled (coupled) by the presence of the electron gas. !5
