Design of a Hybrid DC Motor having Z-Theta Motion

摘要

This paper proposed the novel concept of a hybrid DC motor having z-motion (linear) and theta motion (rotary) in one body. Since the proposed motor uses same rotor structure for z and theta motion, its mover has light mass and small inertia. So the hybrid motor has high response time with respect to its force and torque. The validity of proposed motor will be confirmed by design and manufacturing.
