摘要

We present a new mesoscopic lumped-parameter pseudoelastic analysis of a shape memory alloy wire in which the wire is modeled as a pile of a large number of very short uniform disks. To each disk, we apply the analytical result of our previous macroscopic model which is based on the phase interaction energy function. The thermomechanical driving force for the phase transformations in the disks is assumed distributed probabilistically. We will examine the effectiveness of the mesoscopic model, by using the generalized Cauchy probabilistic density function for the thermomechanical driving force to compare with experimental data of a wire measured at our laboratory.
