Among the High Speed and High Performance Vessels, both the Trimaran and Ovoid Type have caused great attention. This paper reports the authors' preliminary theoretical and experimental studies on Ovoid type and Trimaran-Ovoid forms. The study shows that these forms have remarkable characteristics, and the numerical methods of calculation of wave resistance for both forms appear to be effective.
