Research on developing a fully submerged, automatic controlled and waterjet propulsion hydrofoil craft, model PS30

In 1973, the first apssenger hydrofoil craft, model "JETFOIL", with fully submerged and automatic controlled hydrofoil system and waterjet propulsion, was completed in the United States. It provides with very good seakeeping capability, which consequently ensures the nice comfort, and a high speed of 42 knots. It is a sign of the top level of technology in the devleopment of passenger hydrofoils. Far East Hydrofoil Co., Ltd. (FEHC) had ordered, one after another, totally 14 crafts of that model. They have been being operated as a fvorable vehicle on the route between Hong Kong and Macao day and night.
