Methods and Solutions for Difficult Radioactive Waste Streams at the Rocky Flats Environmental Technology Site

This paper provides methods and solutions for five examples of difficult radioactive waste streams generated at the Rocky Flats Environmental Technology Site (RFETS). Through use of "outside the box" thinking, innovative methods and solutions were developed resulting in final disposal of the treated wastes. These actions allowed for closure of thernRFETS ahead of the 2006 scheduled closure date.
