摘要

This paper describes an intelligent computer-aided design tool that helps architects optimize energy use in building. This tool assists architects in refining their individual design approaches to reduce energy consumption and increase thermal performance of buildings. This is done by predicting exact problem locations and providing accurate advice for these problems. It performs in both active and passively conditioned buildings. The tool consists of a graphical interface, several databases, a detailed simulation program and the intelligent agent. The tool simulates and critiques designs, gives advice and provides guidance and justification for its optimal solution recommendations.
