Report: Risk management: Current state, gaps, and looking ahead

摘要

The state of risk management practice in water utilities and the tools they use to manage risk differentiate agencies with beginning asset management programs from those with more developed, advanced programs. This paper presents industry research efforts aimed at defining risk, common frameworks, challenges and gaps. In addition, this paper summarizes current strategic challenges that need to be examined as the water utility industry attempts to address local, regional, and global issues.
