FL WRITING PLAYS A SIGNIFICANT ROLE IN FLLEARNING

Since FL writing is always regarded as the culmination of the other languagernskills FL teachers have been focusing their attentions mainly on students’ mastery ofrnlistening, speaking and reading, which, they believe, is the foundation of the writing.rnBut the fact is that they unconsciously separate FL writing from the entire languagernlearning process. That is one of the main reasons why the progress of FL writing hasrnbeen relatively slow. This paper, on the basis of process-oriented writing theory, willrnexplore the issues on the effective combination of four language skills in the FLrnteaching. This teaching approach leads students to learn writing effectively throughrnthe process of FL acquisition and communication, which, at the same time, makes thernentire FL learning more creative and productive.
