Managing Expatriate Health at Remote Locations-The Nigeria Experience

In the oil and gas industry, people from all over the world notonly visit but also have to live and work at locations thatpresent great challenges to their health and to that of theirfamilies. This paper looks at how an oilfield service companyin Nigeria, with an expatriate population of 200 to 250, hasminimized the health risk of this population.The result is an expatriate population that is not anxiousabout their health and is able to work better. There have beenno expatriate deaths over the past four years.
