The objective of this study was to identify and characterize the properties of holographic film before and after exposure to a simulated space environment and assess its potential as a candidate material for use as a Solar Sail. The results indicated that not only was Holographic material perform comparably to baseline sail material currently considered for sail use, but its unique ability to reflect selectively may provide a solution to the issue of navigating a sail propelled craft.
