'The demanding world of engineering plastics - coloring in the gaps by covering colorspace -The nylon case'

The demands of the plastics industry are ever changing, and the use of polymers to replace traditional materials in the world around us is growing rapidly. The necessity for colorants to meet both the processing and end-use requirements in the chosen polymer is a real challenge for the colorant manufacturer. This study serves to evaluate/highlight what is available today and therefore what is missing from the color palette for engineering/technical plastics, and how the challenge to fill these gaps in the colorspace may be met with innovation, creating opportunities for new coloration routes, and thus answering a true market need. The main emphasis will be made using the Nylon case.
