摘要

Micro-PL measurements, shown here for the first time, reveal the importance of optical outcoupling effects on a microscopic scale. Part of the increase in brightness of the PL emission upon annealing can probably be attributed to the increased surface roughness and the resulting increase of local optical outcoupling. The latter effect could also be important for improving the efficiency of electroluminescent devices.
