摘要

An overview of a new molecular approach to quantum computing is given. The vi-brational modes of molecules are used to encode qubit systems. Specially formed femtosecond laser pulses in the infrared regime act as ultrafast quantum gates. They are calculated using optimal control theory. Global quantum gates and algorithms are reported.
