MONITORING PASTURE PRODUCTION IN MANAWATU, NEW ZEALAND, USING PROBA-V DATA

The Enhanced Vegetation Index (EVI) was calculatedrnfrom Proba-V data over 18 months (S10) and 12rnmonths (S5). These values were compared with pasturernbiomass as measured by weekly farm rides on a 4WDrntowing the Rapid Pasture Meter. Trends in the datarnwere well matched, especially during the summer andrnafter rain in autumn.
