Buckling of Elliptical Anisotropic Plates Subjected to Biaxial Loading

Buckling of delaminated regions is an important mode of failure in composite structures. Delaminated regions are often roughly elliptical in shape, especially those caused by impact (1). The delaminated region can expand and ultimately lead to failure of the structure. Thus, understanding the buckling response of elliptical composites is a topic of interest.
