Application of Usability Engineering in TQM

摘要

Many organizations pay more and more attention to Total Quality Management. This attitude opens also new areas for introduction of ergonomic solutions. We are going to concentrate our attention on two selected areas of Quality Management: 1. preparation the basis of productive realization of processes, 2. improvement of realization and maintenance of processes. The preparation of the TQM basis of productive realization of processes thanks to development of user-oriented environment is described. Application of the usability engineering to TQM is presented within the framework of 5Ss practices and visual management in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
