摘要

General features of application utilizing generalized beam theory are presented. This application is used to calculate elastic distortional buckling stress to be used in calculation of compression strength of member subject to centric axial loading. Four different profiles sensitive to distortion were studied. Compression strength given by different design codes and FE-analysis were compared in cases where distortional buckling will cause the failure.
