HOW TO GET SIX SIGMA COMPANIESTO USE VM AND FUNCTION ANALYSIS

Many VM practitioners are adopting a belief that VM has a lot to contribute to Six Sigma. Partof this belief is that VM can coexist—not compete—with Six Sigma, and that VM can enhanceSix Sigma activities. These practitioners are discovering that companies which use Six Sigmaare a market-space for VM opportunities—the trick is knowing the appropriate elements of VMto market to these companies. Speaking and writing from personal experience, the author hasfound several ways of both presenting and using key VM elements that motivate, excite and aremost valued in Six Sigma implementations. This paper will share those VM techniques that aremost conducive to Six Sigma, and how to integrate specific VM techniques at Six Sigmacompanies to form lasting relationships.
