Many VM practitioners are adopting a belief that VM has a lot to contribute to Six Sigma. Part of this belief is that VM can coexist—not compete—with Six Sigma, and that VM can enhance Six Sigma activities. These practitioners are discovering that companies which use Six Sigma are a market-space for VM opportunities—the trick is knowing the appropriate elements of VM to market to these companies. Speaking and writing from personal experience, the author has found several ways of both presenting and using key VM elements that motivate, excite and are most valued in Six Sigma implementations. This paper will share those VM techniques that are most conducive to Six Sigma, and how to integrate specific VM techniques at Six Sigma companies to form lasting relationships.
