The merits of Technology Based Training (TBT) are widely established in aircraft maintenance circles as a credible alternative to traditional and often less efficient methods. The training package delivered within the Royal Navy to Air Engineering Artificers (AEA) demonstrates that there is still a place for traditional training methods alongside more sophisticated techniques, as part of a progressive, integrated system.
