Used-Centered Design of Adaptive Interfaces for Digital Libraries

摘要

An approach to account for various user's characteristics, such as professional status, physiological and psychological pecularities in both a Digital Library and any other adaptive system, addressed to an "end-user", is described. Thsi approach is base,d first, on a battery of tests to formally measure user's characteristics and, second, on a mehtod of statistical mapping of these factors onto the appropriate adjustable characteristics of the adaptive system.
