Entrepreneurship Education in Engineering: A Literature Review, and an Integrated Embedment Proposal

Entrepreneurship education in engineering and technology is lacking in majority of Universities worldwide. More attention to engineering entrepreneurship education has been emerging recently. In this paper, a literature review on entrepreneurship and engineering entrepreneurship education is provided. The main findings of the review indicate the very new history of systematic integration of entrepreneurship education in engineering and technology curriculum, the positive impact on entrepreneurial attitude and intentions, and challenges faced in robust assessment of engineering entrepreneurship outcomes. Finally a proposal for embedding entrepreneurship in engineering education at various under- and post-graduate levels at the college of engineering, Qatar University is provided.
