Recent Advances in Electroactive Organofullerenesudies of Fullerenes and Their Derivatives

[60]Fullerene is a redox-active chromophore which presents a triply degenerate LUMO (t_(lu)) with a low energy, accepting up to six electrons in solution. ~1 Fullerenes, and in particular the readily available C_(60), exhibit a wide range of chemical and physical properties that make them promising candidates for photoinduced redox processes.
