The Influences That Data Display Format has on Kindergarteners' and Adults' Judgment in VDT

When an operator is required to view graphically disphyed date on computer displays arri to make various it is very important to understand how different disp clearer understanding of the effects of computer display formats on humanjudgment,1he present study examined arpatent dot nurnerosity on a computer display between adults' and kindergartners' judgements. The results are as follows. (l)For all the display conditions, the number of dots was more underestimated as the dots increased(2) When the dots were scattered in an relatively large area with a surrounding frame,the dot numerosity was the least underestimated. (3) Adults' and kindergartners1 judgments have some differences. These results were discussed in terms of appropriate format of display.
