摘要

The Binary Particle Swarm Optimization (BPSO) algorithm has been implementedrnwith success in the Reliability Based Optimal Design (RBOD) of truss structures. Inrnthis study, a BPSO implementing time-varying schemes for the inertia factor andrnmaximum velocity is used for the same purpose. Various schemes are examined andrnthe performance is compared against the simple BPSO.
