摘要

The luminescent characteristics of hexagonal aluminate BaMgAl_(10)O_(17):Eu~(2+) (BAM) under excitation of vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) rays were studied. The results show that the emission characteristics of Eu~(2+) in BAM significantly degraded in baking and VUV-irradiating processes while almost no changes were found under UV excitation. It is suggested that degradation of the BAM under baking and VUV irradiation should principally occur on the crystallographic structure, which leads to a degraded matrices and result in a decrease of the absorption efficiencies under VUV excitation.
