An observation of isolated pathogenic fungi from 222 cases with deep mycosis

The article reported our observation rresult of isolated pathogenic fungi from 222 cases with deep mycosis. 224 strains of 14 funous species of pathogenic fungi were isolated in all, Candida albicans occupied first place in them. 154 strains of it were isolated and made up 68.75 percent of the pathogenic fungi of deep mycotic infections. It was the main pathogenic fungus of causing mycotic infections of mucous membrance of mouth and that of causing mycotic infections of the respiratory, alimentary and urogenital systems in 150 cases. It also caused two cases of mycotic keratitis, one case of fungemia and one case of mycotc infection in the wound surface of third degree burn. Candida albicans was detected and isolated again and again in all the 154 cases of mycotic infections. Aspergillus ranked second in them. 35 strains of it were isolated and accounted for 15.63 percent of the pathogenic fungi of mycotic infections. It mainly caused the fungous infections of ears. There were seven cases of clinical lesions caused by Sporothrix schenckii, including five cases of fix type and two cases of cutaneo-lymphangial type. There were two cases of fungal meningitis caused by Cryptococcus neoformans.
