A implicit subiteration NND scheme of second order accurate in time and space employing line Gauss-Seidel subiteratio nmethod and mixed-flux-splitting is presented and applied to two-dimensional laminar viscous shedding vortex flow over static airfoil and inviscid unsteady flow past airfoil in forced oscillation. Three different subiteration methods which are the present implicit subiteration NND scheme, the single time-step subiteration scheme developed by Pulliam and the widely-used dual time-step subiteration scheme proposed by Jameson are employed to solve the nonlinear equations arising at each physical time step and compared.
