摘要

A study of the way in which humans visually perceivernthe motion of high-rise buildings was carried out. In ourrnexperiment, an edited movie was projected so that thernsubjects could observe the motion of the view from arnwindow. The movie was edited by changing the speedrnof pictures that had been previously recorded by a videorncamera moving at a constant low velocity. In this way,rna visual simulator created a movie replicating a cosinernwave. The results of this experiment showed thatrnvisual perception is more sensitive than physicalrnperception in the case of torsional motion. Thernthreshold at which the subjects perceived the motionrnwas determined as well.
