Cut editing rule based on functions of gaze for visual scenes and its effect - toward the production of more comprehensive movies for humans

We describe several cut editing rules that take advantage of the functions of gaze as documented in the field of psychology with the aim of producing comprehensive movies. The multiparty conversations were recorded using multiple cameras. These movies taken in parallel were edited into a single expressional strearn using the cut editing rules. We conducted some experiments to investigate whether the editing rules enable the non-participants in the conversation to comprehend the participants' behavior and the direction of their behavior. Through the experiments, we found that gaze is effective for producing more comprehensive movies.
